Day Rooms at Prague Airport
A long daytime layover at Prague Airport has one listed option and several improvised ones.
The listed option: AeroRooms day use
AeroRooms, the airport’s own rooms in Terminal 1, sells day rooms from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm from about CZK 1200. The public-area section suits anyone landside; the transit-area section, behind passport control in the non-Schengen terminal, lets passengers between non-Schengen flights sleep without entering the Schengen area. Shower-only use can be arranged too.
Lounges and free showers
For a shorter reset, the ERSTE Premier lounges cover both terminals: the Terminal 1 lounge is after passport control on the non-Schengen side (it operated as the Mastercard Lounge until its mid-2026 rebrand), the Terminal 2 lounge is after security on the Schengen side. Both admit paying walk-in guests and both have showers. Cheaper still: the free public showers in Hall D, third floor of Terminal 2, open 5:00 am to 10:00 pm, bring your own towel discipline.
The hotel route
No hotel in our five publishes day-use rates. When a bed and a desk for six hours matter more than staying inside the terminal, the Courtyard by Marriott, a covered walkway from Terminal 2, is the natural one to ask; airport hotels frequently sell day rooms on request even where no rate is published. Frequently Asked Questions
Can I rent a room at Prague Airport for a few hours?
Yes. AeroRooms in Terminal 1, run by the airport, sells day rooms from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm from about CZK 1200, in both the public area and the transit area behind passport control.
Can I shower at the airport without booking a room?
Yes, two ways: the free showers in Hall D on the third floor of Terminal 2 (5:00 am to 10:00 pm), and the ERSTE Premier lounges in both terminals, which include showers with lounge entry. AeroRooms also arranges shower use on its own.
Do the hotels near the airport sell day rooms?
None of them publishes day rates. For a long daytime wait, AeroRooms is the listed option; if you would rather have a full-size hotel room, ask the Courtyard or Holiday Inn directly, as airport hotels often sell unused rooms by day on request.
