Sleeping in Prague Airport
Prague’s Václav Havel Airport is a workable airport to sleep in: the terminals run around the clock, the free rest zone is decent, and the airport operates its own rooms when a recliner is not enough.
Free: the Kooperativa Relaxation Zone
Terminal 2 has the Kooperativa Relaxation Zone airside, between Piers C and D: reclined seating, flight displays and charging points, open with the terminal. It is the standard free option for a Schengen departure or a night connection. Overnight the airport quietens and most shops close, so bring water and an eye mask. Landside, benches in both terminals fill the same role less comfortably.
The rare free extra: showers in Hall D, third floor of Terminal 2, at no charge, 5:00 am to 10:00 pm. Few airports give that away.
A real bed inside the airport: AeroRooms
AeroRooms, the airport’s own small block of rooms in Terminal 1, sells overnight stays from 6:00 pm to 10:00 am from about CZK 2400, with sections both in the public area and behind passport control in the transit area. For a non-Schengen connection or a 6:00 am departure from Terminal 1, it is the shortest possible walk to a bed.
Hotels a few minutes away
For a full hotel night, the Courtyard by Marriott is a covered 100-metre walkway from Terminal 2, the Holiday Inn is on the airport grounds, and the Ramada at Terminal 3 runs a free terminal shuttle. On a budget, the Sky Hotel and Hotel Meritum in Ruzyně cost less than a night in the terminal is worth. Day-time equivalents are in the day rooms guide.
